It’s known locally as a quieter stretch of shoreline where visitors and residents can enjoy relaxing walks by the sea, admire the coastal views, and experience calm sunsets away from busier beaches. The beach is part of the scenic coastal landscape of Alappuzha and is appreciated for its natural setting and peaceful ambience. A notable local event was when a humpback whale carcass washed ashore here, drawing attention in the community in June 2025.
